History
I started racing 2 years ago.  I started with a Factory Stock Car at Toledo Speedway.  It was a 1977 Grand Prix.    We had to totally strip it down and prepare it for racing.  My crew chief and I spent weeks working on it preparing for the big day!  After installing a roll bar, racing seat, fuel cell and giving it a fresh coat of paint, I was ready to race!  It was red and its number was 28.  (Sure wish it would have made it 28 laps)  On a Friday night in April of 1999 I went to Toledo Speedway to race my first race.  I ran the heat race and finished 6th out of 10 racers.  I was feeling confident!  I lined up on the outside pole for the feature race.  I was holding my own...running in 4th place out of 20 cars.  Suddenly on lap number 13, the motor blew!  That ended the race days for car number 28.

I decided to purchase a new car for next season.  I purchased a 1976 Monte Carlo from a racer at Flat Rock Speedway.  I changed my number to 22, hoping this would be luckier.  I had some good runs with it.  I won two heat races and one feature race with it in the 2000 season.  My best qualifying time was 14.40 which may seem slow but the car weighed 3500 pounds.  Towards the end of the season I ran into a couple of problems.  One Saturday night the transmission went out.  I had to load it up and bring it home.  I worked on it and had it back at the track the next weekend, ready to race!  I arrived at the track that Saturday night and was hot lapping to see if the new transmission seemed OK.  The transmission was fine....but I lost oil pressure.  My night was over again...thank god it started raining.  I loaded it up and brought it home once again.  That week was spent putting in a new motor.  Me and my crew chief worked diligently to get the motor in to be ready to race.  We made it for the next Saturday.  Transmission was fine, motor was fine, and I won!!!  I finished the season with the car all in one piece and running strong.

I decided to move on for the 2001 season.  I purchased a 1999 Monte Carlo Street Stock.  I am in the process of getting it ready for the 2001 season.  I am hoping for this to be my best season yet!
